On the afternoon of September 1st, the selection meeting for the "Textile Light" 2025 China National Textile and Apparel Council Science and Technology Award for Mulberry and Hemp Scholars was successfully held in Shanghai.


Sun Ruizhe, President of China National Textile and Apparel Council, Du Yuzhou, former president, Li Lingshen, Vice president, Sun Jinliang and Chen Wenxing, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhu Meifang and Xu Weilin, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Sun Yize, Wang Yusheng and Wei Yuansun, directors of Hong Kong Chaser Textile Group Co., LTD., Yang Dawei, Executive Director of Changzhou Sangma Education Foundation, Textile Light Science and Technology Education Fund Chen Zhihua, the acting president of the association, Fu Guangwei, the president of the China Textile Engineering Society, Zhang Chuanxiong, the director of the Science and Technology Development Department of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, and other leaders attended this selection meeting. The meeting was presided over by Du Yuzhou, the director of the review committee and the former president of the China National Textile and Apparel Council.


Before the meeting began, all the participants observed a moment of silence to deeply remember Ms. Liu Biru, the honorary chairperson of the Sangma Foundation, who passed away on August 29th.


At the selection meeting, the experts of the review committee conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the candidates and used a secret ballot to ultimately elect four recommended awardees.


During the period of collecting votes, a symposium was also held to solicit opinions on the reform plan of the Changzhou Sangma Education Foundation. The leaders and experts attending the meeting put forward many pertinent and guiding suggestions on the plan, covering aspects such as expanding fundraising channels, broadening the scope of rewards, and enhancing the influence of the Sangma brand. Subsequently, the foundation will further adjust and improve the reform plan and steadily advance it.
