The 2026 Textile Weaving Industry Product Innovation Seminar and New Product Exchange Results Exhibition Conference was held.

With the technological innovation and iterative upgrading of the filament weaving industry, the industry has achieved remarkable progress in its transformation towards high-end, intelligent, and green development. To further promote the high-quality development of the industry in terms of "technology, fashion, green, and health", and to enhance the supply capacity of high-quality textile products, the 2026 Long Filament Weaving Industry Product Innovation Seminar and New Product Exchange Results Exhibition was successfully held in Hongze District, Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province from August 20th to 21st.


The conference was themed "Adhering to Tradition and Innovation to Weave the Future". The participants exchanged and shared their views and experiences on various dimensions such as the innovation trends of textile products, new and superior product innovation experiences and achievements, product trade situations, fabric innovation demands from brand clothing perspectives, and the development and application of diverse new materials.


The meeting was chaired by Zhang Cheng, the vice president of the China Long Filament Weaving Association.

Accelerating the transformation towards "value creation"


The president of the China Long Filament Weaving Association, Wang Jiayi, delivered a keynote report titled "Adhering to Tradition and Innovation to Weave the Future" based on the industry's economic operation since 2026, the highlights of product innovation, and the future product innovation paths. He introduced that despite multiple pressures such as geopolitical conflicts, rising trade protectionism, and high fluctuations in energy commodity prices, the filament weaving industry has maintained stable operation and demonstrated strong development resilience.


When discussing the highlights of industry product innovation, he pointed out that from the perspective of products, enterprises have focused on specific market segments and developed differentiated development paths, with outstanding achievements in outdoor sports, casual fashion, and household textiles; from the perspective of methods, enterprises have higher innovation capabilities and overall maturity, and are more willing to tackle technological challenges, emphasizing collaborative innovation and practical orientation; from the perspective of innovation models, the "product + service" innovation model has been deeply developed in the industry.


"By taking product innovation as a breakthrough, promoting enterprises to transform from 'scale expansion' to 'value creation', is the key to the industry breaking through in the face of adversity." Regarding the future product innovation paths of enterprises, he suggested that enterprises should fully utilize industry advantages to enhance product value-added, technologically "deepen" and "stabilize" functions, and leverage the unique advantages of chemical fiber filament products in design, while converting environmental protection from cost to premium; to promote the establishment of strategic alliances with capital as the link, build a collaborative innovation ecological model of "demand-driven, joint research, and shared achievements"; ensure the allocation of innovation resources and talent investment; continue to deepen the "product + service" cooperation model, and leverage digital technology to enhance service efficiency. Finally, he called on the entire industry to stand at the starting point of the "15th Five-Year Plan" new journey, with more determined confidence and more pragmatic actions, adhere to tradition and innovation, and jointly write a brand new chapter of high-quality development of China's textile industry.
