The acrylic polypropylene spinning machine frequently jams the filament? Let's look for the reasons from the temperature and the equipment ends.

During the production process of polypropylene spinning machine, clogging is a common equipment failure that not only interrupts the production rhythm but also may damage the equipment components and affect the quality of filament formation. It is crucial to handle clogging issues promptly and ensure regular equipment maintenance to ensure the stable operation of the spinning line.


When the filament bundle gets stuck or accumulates at the outlet of the spinneret or the winding section, it may affect the formation of the filament cake to a lesser extent or cause frequent breaks and disrupt the production rhythm. For such problems, it is recommended to gradually investigate from the two aspects of process conditions and equipment status.


Temperature control is the primary point to check. The melting temperature range of polypropylene raw materials is relatively concentrated. When the temperature of the spinning box is too low, the melt flow is insufficient, which may form hard or injected filaments at the spinneret holes, thereby causing clogging. Conversely, if the temperature is too high, the melt viscosity is too low, and the filament strength decreases, which may also cause the filament to get tangled and knot at the guide roller. During on-site operation, the filament condition can be observed: if the melt descends slowly under its own weight and the filament ring is dim, it is likely that the spinning temperature needs to be appropriately increased.


The drying of raw materials and the screw feeding state are also crucial. When the chip moisture content is high, the melt is prone to carry bubbles, and the filament is likely to rupture during stretching, resulting in fuzz and gradually forming a clogging point. In addition, if the screw feeding volume is greater than the output volume, the melt may flow back and form a "loop" in the feeding area, hindering the normal transportation of chips, which is also an inducement for clogging.


Mechanical inspections cannot be ignored. If the surface of the guide roller and the hot roller accumulates carbonized substances or oil stains, the resistance of the filament bundle will significantly increase. Regularly cleaning the accumulated filaments on the stretch roller and guide components, and maintaining a smooth path for the filament, can help reduce the probability of clogging. If the cross-motion mechanism of the winding head is worn or has poor sliding, it may cause the filament bundle to be partially stacked. At this time, it is necessary to check the belt tension or the position of the guide roller.


When dealing with clogging, it is recommended to first reduce the speed, clean the blocked areas, and then gradually restore the process parameters. Do not forcibly pull the filament bundle under tension to avoid damaging the spinneret plate or the guide roller surface. Make a brief record after each fault handling to accumulate the abnormal cases in this workshop, which will be helpful for subsequent rapid judgment.
