The main process flow of the polypropylene spinning machine is: Polypropylene pellets are heated and melted by the screw extruder, and then precisely transported to the spinning component by the metering pump. The melt is extruded through the spinneret to form the initial fibers, which are then cooled and shaped by the cooling device, then stretched and oriented by the stretching device, and finally wound into tubes by the winding device.

During operation, key process parameters such as temperature, pressure, melt flow rate, and stretching speed need to be reasonably controlled. Among them, the melting temperature and residence time directly affect the degradation of polypropylene, and the stretching ratio determines the strength and elongation of the finished fibers. Operators need to adjust the parameters in time according to the product specifications to ensure the continuity of the production process and the consistency of product quality.


III. Key Technology Optimization

Temperature Control System: The screw extruder is equipped with a multi-zone PID temperature control system, which can control the temperature fluctuation of polypropylene pellets during the melting process within ±1.5℃, effectively inhibiting thermal degradation and ensuring the stability of the melt quality.

Metering Pump: Adopting a precise external gear structure, the discharge volume is accurate and the output is stable, providing uniform and consistent melt supply for the subsequent stretching process, reducing fiber fineness deviation caused by flow rate fluctuations.

Spinning Component: Optimizing the design of the melt distribution channel to ensure uniform distribution of the melt on the spinneret surface, improving the consistency of single fiber fineness.


IV. Operation Maintenance and Management Suggestions

For chemical fiber manufacturing enterprises, the long-term stable operation of equipment is an important part of daily production management. During continuous operation of the polypropylene spinning machine, the following aspects should be focused on:

Temperature Control System: Regularly calibrate temperature control instruments and heating elements to prevent temperature control failure from causing melt degradation;

Transmission Components: Check the condition of gearboxes, bearings, and lubrication on time to avoid operational fluctuations caused by mechanical wear;

Spinning Component: Regularly replace filters and spinnerets, clean residual glue to ensure the smoothness of the melt passage;

Winding System: Adjust winding tension and contact pressure to reduce poor formation and breakage rate.
