"When girls who loved dressing up Barbie dolls when they were young grew up, they started customizing clothes for their own 'babies'." Liang Yingqi, a 85-year-old "baby clothing" artisan, said. The currently popular "babies" are like "new-style Barbies", carrying the unshed childishness of adults and adding an aesthetic that incorporates cultural depth.

The "ethnic-style baby clothes" with unique cultural底蕴 have become a favorite among many consumers. In Guangxi, "babies" also wore clothes made of Zhuang brocade. Traditional festivals have boosted the popularity of "child clothes" made of Zhuang brocade. Among children, "child clothes" are not just ordinary toy accessories; they are specially designed clothing items tailored for trendy play dolls, covering items such as tops, pants, dresses, and accessories, to create a personalized image for "children".

"We started with Zhuang brocade 'child hats'," said Ji Yingqi. Her handmade workshop, which features a folk style, is located in the cultural and creative store of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Museum. Previously, the most popular products were imitation silver Zhuang brocade series refrigerator magnets and plush toys. Based on this, the team developed a Zhuang girl-style headwear for dolls in February 2025.

This "child hat" drew inspiration from the best-selling products and adopted the design of Zhuang brocade ribbons and imitation silver flower crown bases. The "child hat" was quickly sold out upon display in the store. In March 2025, the team seized the opportunity and, in response to customer needs, launched a batch of Zhuang ethnic clothing tailored for small Kapibara dolls. "We deliberately launched the product on the eve of the 'Guangxi March Third' festival, and sure enough, it became a small 'hit'." Ji Yingqi said.

The Lunar March Third is a traditional Chinese festival. In the multi-ethnic area of Guangxi, the festival atmosphere is particularly intense. "Guangxi March Third" has been successfully developed into a well-known cultural tourism brand. Young netizens are enthusiastic about taking photos with ethnic-themed cultural creations at festival events.

Recently, the High-End Textile New Materials Industry-University Collaborative Innovation Seminar and the 2025 Annual Conference of the National Carbon Fiber and Composite Materials Industry-University Integration Community were held in Changzhou, jointly organized by Tianjin University of Technology and other institutions. More than 80 representatives from government departments, industry associations, enterprises, universities and research institutions attended the conference, focusing on the application of high-end textile new materials and carbon fiber composite materials, and jointly exploring new paths for the deep integration of industry and education.

Professor Liu Yong, the executive dean of the Textile Science and Engineering College of Tianjin University of Technology, attended the conference and presided over the special report session; Researcher Jiang Xi delivered a special report titled "Integrated Design and Application Research of Textile Composite Materials Structure and Function", systematically presenting the school's innovative achievements in this field, demonstrating the school's research strength and leading role at the forefront of textile science. 

At the meeting, the "High Performance Fiber and Composite Materials Industry-Academia Integration Practice Center" was officially inaugurated and established, marking a new stage in regional industry-academia collaboration. The member units of the community also signed a cooperation agreement on the construction of core courses and textbooks such as "Practical Detection of High Performance Fibers and Composites", promoting the close integration of teaching resources with industrial practice.
