Recently, the 6th Liaoning Province Textile and Materials Graduate Forum and Textile Young Scholars Forum was held at Dalian Polytechnic University. Experts and scholars attending the forum jointly discussed the development frontiers, technical difficulties and future development directions of the textile industry, injecting new impetus into the transformation and upgrading of the textile industry in Northeast China.
Representatives from universities, research institutes and related enterprises such as Dalian University of Technology, Donghua University, Jiangnan University, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Wuhan Textile University and Liaodong University attended the meeting. Many renowned scholars in the domestic textile field shared their latest research achievements and gave reports on cutting-edge topics such as structural color coloring systems, lightweight composite materials, fiber-based flexible electronic devices, water-collecting biomimetic materials, and nuclear dust protection materials.
Meanwhile, to promote academic inheritance and talent cultivation, the forum has specially set up two parallel sub-forums: the Textile Young Scholars Forum and the Graduate Students Forum. The participants exchanged their latest research achievements and conducted in-depth discussions in the sub-sectors such as the cutting-edge design of fiber materials, intelligent textile manufacturing processes, green, low-carbon and circular technologies, and the research and development of advanced functional textiles.
This forum is hosted by the Department of Education of Liaoning Province and organized by the Graduate School, the School of Textile and Materials Engineering of Dalian Polytechnic University and the Liaoning Provincial Graduate Innovation and Academic Exchange Center for Textile Science and Engineering. The forum, with the theme of "Innovation, Integration and Revitalization: Textile Materials Technology and New Driving Forces for Northeast China's Industry", focuses on cutting-edge directions such as fiber material design, intelligent textile manufacturing, and green and low-carbon technologies. It aims to leverage the industrial foundation and talent resource advantages of the Northeast region to promote the intelligent, green and high-end transformation of the textile industry.
