The improper tension on the warp yarn not only directly affects the operation of the production, but also seriously affects the quality of the product. Its impact on the quality of products generally has the following three aspects:
1. Influence on the rate of broken ends
When the warp yarn exits from the warp beam to the woven fabric, it has to be stretched and rubbed thousands of times by the guide roller, the heald, and the steel shovel. The tension on the wire is increased, which is easy to cause fatigue and breaks in the weak link of the warp. Therefore, excessive machine tension is the main cause of warp breakage.
Some people have tried a certain fabric, adjusted the tension on the warp, the flatness, the position and other related factors, so that the yarn breakage rate is reduced from 0.839/set·hour to 0.175/set·hour. . Can you think that the lower the tension on the machine, the lower the break rate?

After analysis, the beating on the general fabric is not 90°, so the beating force can be decomposed into the force F in the direction of the fabric and the force f in the direction of the vertical fabric. In this way, the friction between the warp and the heald is increased, and the warp is caused by the phenomenon of “choking” in front of the steel shovel, which leads to an increase in the broken head. Therefore, the warp tension of the warp is too small. Weaving is also disadvantageous.
2. Effect on fabric shrinkage
If the warp tension is large, when the warp and weft are interlaced, the warp of the weft is increased due to the warp of the warp, and the internal stress of the weft increases.
When the fabric is wound into the take-up roll, especially after the machine is removed, the tension of the warp yarn disappears, and the weft yarn will exert a large back pressure on the warp yarn due to the "resistance" effect of the internal stress, thereby forming an increase in the warp shrinkage rate. The case where the latitudinal shrinkage rate is reduced.

3. Influence on fabric feel and appearance
The tension of the warp machine has a great influence on the feel and appearance of the fabric. If the tension of the warp machine is properly controlled, the silk surface of the fabric is flat, the texture is clear and the hand feels good; and the warp tension is too large due to Excessive elongation, the silk surface is not full enough, and the tension on the warp machine is too large, the fabric is likely to produce a "slim mouth".
