In the past one or two years, there have been a number of mergers and acquisitions in textile digital inkjet printing. In May 2015, SensientTechnologies acquired the assets of XenniaTechnology from RoyalTenCateNV. This was followed by EFI's acquisition of an aqueous ink manufacturer Reggiani Macchine in July 2015 to form EFI Reggiani. In October 2015, Dover acquired JKGroupSPA and its three ink companies – Teck, KiianDigital and Sawgrass. In June 2016, Epson Italy, a subsidiary of Epson Group, acquired a leading brand in the field of textile digital inkjet, Fratelli Robustelli S.r.l.

Recently, some insiders analyzed that the global textile digital inkjet market will grow at an average annual rate of 25% by 2019. In some areas, such as short-term and fast delivery, the speed of transition from analog to digital printing is accelerating, and this growth rate will exceed the market growth rate, reaching about 30%.

In recent years, the growth rate of digital printing in most fields has been double-digit, far exceeding the growth rate of traditional printing applications. Many senior industry insiders such as Mimaki EMEA regional marketing general manager Mike Horsten, the world's leading manufacturer of digital inkjet printing equipment, predict that digital inkjet printing for textiles will be one of the largest markets in the future.

The textile market is gradually developing, and with the early application of silk screen in this field, printing has gradually gained a foothold in the textile market. However, it is foreseeable that the application of digital printing in the textile industry is rapidly emerging. With the advent of textile digital inkjet technology, the field of textile printing has undergone tremendous changes in recent years. Initially, digital inkjet was more suitable for proofing due to the time and cost advantages of printing preparation. Nowadays, with the universalization of personalization and the increasing number of digital inkjet efficient production equipment, digital inkjet has become more and more mainstream in the industry.

“Digital inkjet technology has changed everything he touches, including the textile industry and the printing market,” said Fernando Urteaga, head of Epson America. “Textile printing is a $7.5 billion market, which brings huge business opportunities. ."
