On August 13th, the 2026 China Cotton Textile Industry Association Raw Material Industry Chain Branch Conference was held in Qingdao.

This conference was based on the core goals of stabilizing the chain and ensuring supply for the cotton textile industry and improving quality and efficiency. It gathered representatives from industry chain enterprises, precisely analyzed the current market operation situation, deeply reviewed the industry development pain points, actively proposed measures for optimizing macro-control, and strengthened the security and stability barrier of the cotton textile industry chain and supply chain.

The president of the China Cotton Textile Industry Association, Dong Kuiyong, the person in charge of the China Cotton Textile Industry Association Raw Material Industry Chain Branch, Wei Gangmin, the chairman of Henan Tongzhou Cotton Industry Co., Ltd., Zhao Mingxia, the director of the Industry Department of the China Textile Industry Federation, Jia Lei, the deputy general manager of the National Cotton Trading Market, Jing Shenquan, as well as representatives from member units of the raw material industry chain branch and some enterprises within the industry, participated in this conference.

The meeting was chaired by Xu Xiaoyuan, the deputy secretary-general of the China Cotton Textile Industry Association.

During the meeting, Jing Shenquan, the vice president of the China Cotton Textile Industry Association, expressed in his speech that since the beginning of this year, the complex and changing economic environment both at home and abroad has continued to pose multiple challenges to the textile industry, including weak terminal demand, the restructuring of the foreign trade pattern, and rising production costs. The industry as a whole is under pressure. Against this backdrop, the value and role of the raw material industry chain branch have become increasingly prominent. As the core platform for the industry to consolidate raw material guarantees, facilitate information exchange, and deepen upstream and downstream collaborative cooperation, the branch bears the important responsibilities of interpreting and explaining industry policies, analyzing market supply and demand trends, coordinating industry chain cooperation, and helping the industry solve development pain points. This meeting comprehensively reviewed and sorted out the annual work achievements of the branch, focused on the current development difficulties of the industry, gathered industry strength to jointly explore breakthrough paths, and provided strong support for the smooth operation of the entire cotton textile industry chain.
