To seek answers for the high-quality development of industries, by innovating to respond to challenges and by collaborating to pool strength, on July 16th, the 2026 China Association of Middle-Class Industries' Health and Maternal Products Branch Annual Conference and the First Absorption Care and Hygiene Products Conference were held in Shanghai. The conference, with the theme of "Innovation · Iteration · Moving Forward", conducted in-depth discussions on core topics such as technological innovation, market expansion, channel construction, and industrial collaboration. 

Set a clear direction and build consensus 

In her speech, Li Guimei, the president of the China Industrial Textile Association, pointed out that hygiene and baby care products are important sub-sectors within the industrial textiles industry that possess a sense of people's livelihood and innovative vitality. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the industry has continuously made breakthroughs in areas such as bio-based absorbent materials, ultra-thin cores, fine-denier non-woven fabrics, intelligent products, and functional finishing technologies. The technological innovation in hygiene and baby care products has advanced from single-point breakthroughs to a stage of systematic improvement. 

Facing the first year of the "15-19" plan, Li Guimei put forward five suggestions:

First, adhere to innovation-driven development to shape new advantages in industry development;

Second, prioritize quality to create new heights for brand development;

Third, adhere to green and low-carbon principles to build a new pattern of sustainable development;

Fourth, embrace digital empowerment to cultivate new impetus for industrial upgrading;

Fifth, promote coordinated development to forge a new synergy for the common progress of the industry. 

Yan Huarong, the president of the Health and Maternal Products Branch of the Middle Class Association, the director of the organizing committee of the Absorption Care and Hygiene Products Conference, and the chairman of Jin Sanfa Group & Youquan Co., Ltd., stated in his work report that in the past year, the industry was in a period of population structure transformation and deep adjustment, with overcapacity and market consolidation intertwined. However, through model innovation and technological iteration, enterprises still maintained a generally positive trend. He recalled that since its establishment in 2018, the Health and Maternal Products Branch has always carried out work under the principle of "height, length, and breadth", deeply exploring the full-age hygiene consumption market, and jointly building a multi-level and multi-channel communication platform for industry enterprises, universities, and research institutions. He stated that in the future, the Health and Maternal Products Branch will focus on the refinement and improvement of the two core professional conferences of the year, and create an efficient communication platform.
