The polypropylene spinning machine is the core equipment for producing polypropylene fibers. It turns raw materials such as polypropylene (PP) into continuous fibers through a series of precise processes. Its main components together form a complex system.

Screw extruder: Melts and plasticizes solid polypropylene chips and stably conveys them to the spinning box.

Spinning box: Accommodates and distributes the melt, and conveys it to each spinning position.

Metering pump: Precisely measures and conveys the melt to the spinneret to ensure the uniformity of fiber fineness.

Spinneret (plate) : The core forming component, which is densely covered with micro-holes, and the melt is extruded through the micro-holes to form a fine stream of primary fibers.

Cooling device: It cools the fine stream of high-temperature melt extruded from the spinneret holes to solidify and form it.

Winding machine: It winds the solidified fibers into a certain roll with appropriate tension.

Hot roller: It is crucial in the FDY (Fully Drawn Filament) process, used for heating and stretching the filament. Its heating method is evolving from the traditional power frequency induction heating to the more efficient and energy-saving electromagnetic heating technology that ensures uniform temperature and protects the motor.

The clamping mechanism of the winding machine: To prevent the polypropylene filament from loosening and scattering during winding, some winding machines are designed with a spring-loaded clamping roller mechanism, which can always press the filament firmly and ensure a tight winding.

Online monitoring systems: such as fiber diameter detectors, strength detectors, etc., are used for real-time monitoring of fiber quality.

Component differences: Equipment for producing polypropylene staple fibers is typically equipped with spinnerets with an extremely large number of holes (up to several thousand holes) and filament barrels. The equipment for manufacturing polypropylene BCF (expanded continuous filament) or polypropylene industrial filament may integrate special units such as expansion and deformation.
